Costly, under-measured error. Organisations often know their estimates are wrong. They rarely know, with precision, where and by how much. Closing that measurement gap is itself a source of competitive value.
Structurally consistent data. Perfect data quality is never a prerequisite — operational AI applications can be designed to work within real-world constraints. But a baseline of structural consistency is necessary, and most enterprise systems meet it.

Organisations that begin building intelligence on top of their historical data create a reinforcing advantage: current operations generate new data, which continuously improves the analytical models, which improves the quality of decisions, which produces higher-quality future data.
The organisations that start this cycle first will have materially better models in three years than those that wait. In industries where margins are competed for at the basis-point level, that gap has strategic consequences.
