About BrainyYack

BrainyYack is a Toronto-based digital agency and technology company that designs and develops sophisticated digital products and platforms.

We work on complex products in highly regulated environments, where security, privacy, reliability, usability, and quality matter. We also believe the next generation of great product teams will be AI-enabled—using AI not simply as a feature, but as a tool to think, research, document, analyze, and execute more effectively.

As we continue to grow, we’re looking for an experienced Senior Product Manager who combines strong traditional product management skills with a curiosity for how AI can fundamentally improve the way products are built.

The Role

As a Senior Product Manager at BrainyYack, you’ll help lead products from discovery and strategy through development, launch, and continuous improvement.

You’ll work at the intersection of business, users, design, technology, and AI, collaborating closely with stakeholders, UX/UI designers, frontend and backend engineers, QA, and DevOps.

We want someone who can see the big picture while being comfortable getting into the details. You’ll turn complex business problems into clear product requirements, prioritize what matters, challenge assumptions, and give development teams the clarity they need to execute.

Just as importantly, we’re looking for someone who is excited about using AI as part of their everyday product management toolkit.

How You’ll Use AI

AI should help you spend less time on repetitive product administration and more time on strategy, users, decisions, and outcomes.

You’ll be encouraged to experiment with AI to:

  • Accelerate product and market research.

  • Analyze customer feedback, user interviews, and large amounts of qualitative information.

  • Turn meeting notes, conversations, and discovery sessions into structured requirements and action items.

  • Help draft and refine user stories, acceptance criteria, product documentation, and functional requirements.

  • Explore potential user journeys, edge cases, scenarios, and requirements that may have been overlooked.

  • Analyze product data and identify patterns or opportunities.

  • Rapidly explore and evaluate product ideas before committing development resources.

  • Improve communication between business stakeholders and technical teams.

  • Automate repetitive parts of the product management workflow.

  • Help the broader team identify opportunities to responsibly incorporate AI into the products we build.

We don’t expect AI to replace product judgment. We expect it to amplify great product judgment.

What You’ll Do

  • Own and contribute to product strategy, vision, roadmaps, and priorities.

  • Translate business objectives and user needs into clear, actionable product requirements.

  • Lead discovery and requirements-gathering sessions with clients and stakeholders.

  • Develop detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, workflows, and functional requirements.

  • Own and prioritize the product backlog.

  • Work closely with UX/UI to create intuitive and effective product experiences.

  • Collaborate daily with engineering, QA, and DevOps throughout the development lifecycle.

  • Lead sprint planning, backlog refinement, product reviews, and Agile product activities.

  • Identify dependencies, risks, edge cases, and potential roadblocks before they become problems.

  • Balance stakeholder needs, user value, technical considerations, timelines, and business priorities.

  • Ensure security, privacy, accessibility, and regulatory considerations are incorporated into product decisions.

  • Define success metrics and use data and feedback to continuously improve products.

  • Communicate priorities, decisions, progress, and trade-offs clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Continuously explore new technologies and AI capabilities that can improve how our team works and what we build.

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of product management experience working on complex digital products or platforms.

  • Demonstrated experience taking products from discovery and requirements through development and launch.

  • Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle.

  • Experience working directly with frontend and backend engineers, UX/UI, QA, and DevOps.

  • Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum product development.

  • Excellent ability to create user stories, acceptance criteria, workflows, and functional requirements.

  • Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to understand complex business rules, workflows, integrations, and technical dependencies.

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

  • Ability to prioritize competing requirements and confidently make product trade-offs.

  • Strong attention to detail without losing sight of the overall product vision.

  • Curiosity about AI, automation, and emerging technologies and how they can improve product management and product development.

  • A willingness to experiment with new AI tools and continuously evolve how you work.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working on products in highly regulated environments.

  • Experience with enterprise SaaS or complex workflow platforms.

  • Experience with products handling sensitive or confidential information.

  • Experience with AI-enabled products, LLMs, AI agents, or AI-powered workflows.

  • Hands-on experience using tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, or similar AI platforms as part of your product workflow.

  • Experience with API-driven products and third-party integrations.

  • Understanding of security, privacy, accessibility, and compliance requirements.

  • Experience with analytics and data-driven product decision-making.

  • Experience working in an agency, consulting, or client-facing environment.

Why BrainyYack?

At BrainyYack, you’ll have the opportunity to work on meaningful, technically challenging products while helping shape how an AI-enabled product team should operate.

We want our people experimenting, learning, questioning existing processes, and finding smarter ways to work. If AI can eliminate five hours of repetitive work, we want you spending those five hours talking to users, thinking strategically, solving harder problems, and making the product better.

You’ll collaborate with experienced professionals across product, strategy, UX/UI, development, QA, and DevOps while having the opportunity to influence what we build, why we build it, and how we build it.

We’re looking for someone who doesn’t just manage a backlog. We’re looking for a product leader who is curious about where technology is going and wants to help us get there.
